Learn more about being a Veterans Service Representative (VSR)
As a VSR, you explain benefit programs and entitlement criteria, conduct interviews, identify issues, gather relevant evidence, adjudicate claims, and input data to generate award and notification letters to Veterans, describing decisions and the reasons for them. The entry level is GS-7 with promotion potential to the GS-9/10.

Learn more about being a Rating Veterans Service Representative (RVSR)
An RVSR works in the Veterans Service Center (VSC), Special Missions, or Pension Management Center. Analyze claims, apply VA’s Schedule for Rating Disabilities (Rating Schedule), and prepare rating decisions, informing VSRs and claimants of the decisions and reasons for them. The entry level is GS-9 with promotion potential to the GS-10/11/12.
