Exploring VA nursing residencies
Access to high-quality, timely health care requires a skilled nursing workforce. To address the current national shortage of experienced nurses, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) offers four types of nursing residency programs at VAMCs across the country. Through these programs, VA supports the clinical training of more than 25,000 nursing students annually.
