Make it a super spring at one of these April events

If April showers bring May flowers, then plant the seeds of your VA career at one of the many national events our team will be attending in the coming weeks.

Our recruiters are traveling the country to meet with potential candidates and share all there is to know about working with Veterans in the largest health care system in the county. In turn, you’ll have the chance to learn about the important employment benefits available when you work at VA.

In April, we’re attending events with:

American College of Cardiology

Embracing a vision of the world where science, knowledge, and innovation optimize patient care and outcomes, the American College of Cardiology is presenting the ACC.24 Scientific Session from April 6-8, 2024, in Atlanta. This is an opportunity to reconnect with colleagues from around the world to gain valuable insights into practice-changing updates in the field.

Members of the ACC promote a patient-centric view of care. They advocate on behalf of their patients and encourage the patient to be part of the care team. Our recruiters in attendance will tell you that these values closely mirror those you’ll find on our team, so you’ll feel right at home at VA.

Pri-Med Southwest

Pri-Med Southwest is hosting its Primary Care CME/CE Conference and Expo from April 11-13, 2024, in Houston. This conference offers continuing medical education and continuing education credits for busy primary care providers.

The event offers a chance to connect with your primary care clinician colleagues and have important discussions about the latest medical practices and clinical insights impacting patient care. You can also find our recruiters there and learn about the benefits of practicing primary care at VA.

Society of Hospital Medicine

Continuing a busy weekend for our team, you’ll find VA at SHM Converge, the annual meeting of the Society of Hospital Medicine, which runs from April 12-15, 2024. Discover cutting-edge content and network with other hospitalists who share a similar interest in forward-focused ideas as you enjoy everything that San Diego has to offer.

VA will have recruiters on hand to talk about careers in our organization. We’re the largest employer of health care providers in the nation, and with more than 1,300 facilities across the country, there’s a place for you on our team.

American Academy of Neurology

The American Academy of Neurology’s Annual Meeting, planned for April 13-18, 2024, in Denver, is the largest gathering of neurologists and neuroscience professionals in the country. The event offers top-tier education, the latest in scientific discoveries, and an abundance of opportunities to connect with friends and colleagues from around the globe.

It also offers a chance to learn about how you can pursue your specialty at VA and take advantage of the latest innovations in your field. Our recruiters know everything there is to know about working at VA, and how you can embrace our mission of caring for Veterans.

American College of Physicians

Visit one of the most historic cities in the nation as the American College of Physicians takes its 2024 Internal Medicine Meeting to Boston from April 18-20, 2024. Refresh your clinical skills with unmatched hands-on learning opportunities while you make inspiring, lifelong connections.

We also hope you’ll take a few minutes to connect with our VA recruiters, who are attending to share information about what being a physician at VA means to the Veterans we care for. With VA’s lower patient counts, you’ll have more time to really connect with your patients and make a difference in their lives.
