March into your new VA career with these upcoming events

As we herald the impending arrival of the spring season, our recruiters are hard at work throughout the month of March, visiting multiple events around the country and spreading the word about the benefits of a VA career.

If you’re attending any of these events, now is the perfect time to meet with members of our team and find out just what a job at VA can mean for you and your career.

“VA offers an excellent opportunity to show our reverence for our national heroes while we offer our care, expertise, and talents in several different ways,” said Hussain Haideri, M.D., acting associate chief of staff, primary care, VA Northern California Health Care System. “Working for VA is a way to be a part of a dynamic team that has dedicated professionals, who collectively strive to make a difference while we excel and grow in our professional capacities.”

What could be better than that? Find out for yourself as we attend events with:

Medicine that’s more than skin deep

From March 8-12, 2024, the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) will enjoy all that San Diego has to offer during the AAD Annual Meeting, welcoming members for  discussions on advancing dermatological practices, treatments, and standards in clinical care, education, and research.

VA recruiters will be present to discuss specialty positions throughout our nationwide network. If you’re ready to enjoy better employment benefits, take some time to meet with our team and learn what a VA career has to offer.

Providing compassionate care

From March 20-23, 2024, the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine (AAHPM) will partner with the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association (HPNA) for its Annual Assembly of Hospice and Palliative Care. More than 3,400 professionals will come together in Phoenix to share research, clinical best practices, and practice-related guidance to advance this important specialty and improve patient care.

If this is your area of expertise and you believe in offering compassionate care, stop by our booth and speak to recruiters about a purposeful career serving Veterans.

Colleagues that have served

The Uniformed Services Academy of Family Physicians (USAFP) Annual Meeting and Exposition is taking place in New Orleans. Active-duty family physicians, family medicine residents, and medical students will gather in the Big Easy from March 23-28, 2024, for an open forum focused on the advancement of uniformed family medicine, leadership development, and learning collaboratives.

At VA, nearly 1 in 3 of our employees are Veterans. If you’re thinking about your next career move after service, meet with our recruiters to learn how your skills can make a difference in Veterans’ lives.

Leading the way

The Windy City in March can be a little chilly, but American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) will share plenty of hot topics during its annual Congress on Healthcare Leadership from March 25-28, 2024, in Chicago. Discover new solutions, hear unique perspectives, and learn how to positively impact health in your community.

With today’s rapidly changing health care environment, VA remains more committed than ever to being a place of innovation and industry leadership, as we continually work to improve health care for Veterans. Speak with our recruiting team and find out where your talents can be put to the best use.
